Overview
We’re thrilled to now offer art classes directly to additional schools for those who are not able to get to our studios. We offer the same beautiful lessons in the off site classes for K-2 and 3-6.
Let your child’s creativity shine with our fun and inspiring after-school art classes! Our program runs onsite at selected local schools.
Afternoon Routine:
Upon arrival, kids bring their own healthy snack to have for the first 5-10 minutes of the class before we get stuck into the project. Aprons are not provided, children are encouraged to wear their own smock or old t-shirt.
Cost
Cost: $320 + GST per term
Casual drop-in class: $32 + GST
For K–2 Students
We guide younger students through step-by-step drawing activities that help build their confidence and skills — with plenty of encouragement along the way!
For Years 3–6
Older students enjoy more independence with their artworks, learning useful techniques and creative tricks to take their drawing to the next level.

The kids love paper rock scissors. It is great for their creativity and Prue is always coming up with fun and different arts and craft. I can’t recommend it enough for both holidays and after school activity

Highly recommend as a holiday activity. My daughter asks to go every holidays! We prearrange to go on the same days as her friends just to make the experience even more fun. I love that the art/craft activities are posted for each day prior to booking – meaning we can choose a theme or activity that is of most interest to her.

My daughter attended the Summer Hill Paper Rock Scissors holiday workshop. She had a brilliant time and was buzzing coming home with her new creations. She wants to do it again next holidays.

Had a painting session for EOFY at Summer Hill studio last Friday, and it was an incredibly enjoyable experience! Prue was exceptionally friendly, guiding us through the process with patience and expertise. The whole session was a lot of fun, absolutely loved it!

It's amazing the different artworks my daughter has brought home from after school care. They organise school pick up as well which makes all the difference. Vacation care has also been great. Once I had to pick my son up early and they made sure he could finish his craft in time and didn't feel left out. Thanks Paper Scissors Rock for exposing them to new skills, art techniques and mediums and just for being fun.

I couldn’t recommend Prue and the team at Paper Rock Scissors more highly! They have designed an engaging, inspiring space for kids to create and explore art. My son has attended for 4 years (and counting!) and loves it… it’s a great balance for all the sport he does and gives him a beautiful creative outlet. It has been a great way for him to explore, develop his artistic skills and build his confidence. Congratulations and thank you Prue for creating such a beautiful community!

Our daughter participated in after school classes at the Summer Hills studio for a few years. We had The Best experience at Paper Rock Scissors. Prue is super responsive, caring and flexible, the teachers are professional and kind, the kids’ art work is superb. The studio is beautiful, and easy to get to. Our daughter has gained and developed incredible artistic skills, and Prue and her team supported and encouraged her. She is now in an art school! We cannot recommend Prue and her team enough. Prue, Bryony and the entire team at Paper Rock Scissors are absolutely incredible. My daughter has been doing after school art classes here for years and has not only always loved going, but has improved so much in her art.
The team is always so accommodating, especially with school pick ups, which is so convenient, and are really great with all the kids. Constantly doing new things and pushing my daughter’s creativity.

Both our girls have loved doing classes with Prue and her team. Such a wonderful after school experience: a calm, creative, nurturing, free time that helps them relax while learning different mediums and styles. We always love looking out for their pictures in the window and we have many framed at home. We've always loved the amazing array of holiday workshops catering for all ages and tastes. I have also enjoyed some of the evening classes. You always know your kids are in great hands.
